A Message from our Faith Formation Director

Dear St. Francis Xavier Parishioners,

I have made the difficult decision to step-down from my current role as Director of Faith Formation to stay home full time with my young son.  But, given that my son is the seventh generation of Virnigs to be members at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, we aren’t going anywhere:)  My husband and I love this community and plan to stay members at St. Francis Xavier.  I hope to volunteer next year with the Faith Formation program.

Jim Beall has also made the decision to leave his role at the Church in order to go back to teaching at the school.  As so many of you know, Jim is an incredible teacher and has missed the daily interactions with his students.  Jim also hopes to remain involved with the Faith Formation Program as a volunteer.

Both Jim and I have loved serving your families and, in particular, feel so honored to have served alongside incredible volunteers.  Our Parish has a very strong Faith Formation Program, and the strength of the program derives from the caliber of our catechists.  Thank you to each of you who have poured so much time, energy, and love into helping our families come to know, to love, and to serve Jesus Christ.

One of the things I feel proudest about during my time at St. Francis Xavier is helping to hire Laurie Sabbarese.  Laurie is an incredibly competent woman with a true passion for evangelization.  Her many gifts have already been a great blessing to our program.  Laurie will remain on staff and work with the next Director of Faith Formation.

Jim and I have loved serving as parish staff members, and we look forward to continuing to support the program as volunteers.  We are both grateful to Fr. Tom for giving us the opportunity to serve the parish as staff members.  Thank you, Fr. Tom, for the trust and support you have given us.

With Gratitude,

Natasha Virnig
