Dear St. Francis Xavier Community,
Our nation has been faced with an unprecedented national health emergency requiring social distancing to combat and flatten the curve of COVID-19. Late yesterday, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Parish received word that the Bishop has suspended public celebrations of Mass in the Diocese of Madison. We know this poses many questions. Please see below for our most frequently asked questions and feel free to call the office if we can assist you in any way.
Will Mass be celebrated?
Yes. Private Masses will be said at parishes throughout the Diocese daily, especially on Sundays. Many will be streamed live and archived for later playback. The Bishop will be saying a Mass on Sundays that will be streamed live as well.
Please connect with Mass via Channel 3, Relevant Radio or a live stream from a parish within the Diocese.
Will Father want and or need music, lectors, servers and other ministers?
No, this will be a private Mass. All the faithful should stay at home.
