"Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become Members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: “Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word."
- Catechism of the Catholic Church 1213
Baptism is the first of the seven sacraments by which one becomes a member of the Church and a new creation in Christ. By water and the word of God, you are cleansed of all sin.
Baptismal Preparation: Parents wishing to have their child baptized are asked to participate in a Baptismal Preparation session which is held on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30-7:30pm. If possible, try to schedule sessions before the birth of your child to avoid having to find a babysitter.
Baptisms are celebrated on the second Sunday of each month during the 10:30am Mass and on the fourth Sunday of each month after the 10:30am Mass. Baptisms and preparation sessions may be scheduled by calling the Parish Office at 798-0100.
